I am... Worth It (week 3)
YOU ARE WORTH A PARTY
The day Jesus was born on earth, God threw a party. He invited a motley crew of shepherds, a few animals and some scientist/kings who were investigating a new star. He even set up a special performance by His own personal worship team to announce the birth of His Son.
God loves to throw parties. Specially, when someone accepts His love and forgiveness. He even threw a party in your honor the day you first accepted Him.
One day, all of us will get to experience what it is like to truly celebrate. Our celebrations here on earth are mere sketches of what God’s celebrations are like. We will experience joy in its fullness, a peace that does not fade and real everlasting happiness. This is why God sent His son Jesus; to invite us all to the greatest party in the universe. You are worth so much to God that He personally sought to invite you.
Heaven is a party. THE biggest party there will ever be. You are invited to this party as God’s guest of honor!
Read and underline the verses on below in your Bible. Write any verses that jump out at you on some paper or a journal, so you don’t forget them.
Read and underline the verses on the following page in your Bible.
10 In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! …”
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
· Have you accepted your invitation the party? You can do so by simply accepting God’s love and forgiveness.
How does it make you feel knowing God celebrated when you became a Christian?
What would change if you more fully accepted and internalized that God values you so much to prepare a celebration?
Take a few moments to reflect and thank God for inviting you to Heaven.
