HEAVEN

LEAVING PARADISE

If you ever wonder how much God loves humans, you just need to look at Jesus’ birth. The all-powerful, all-knowing and all-Mighty God laid down His divinity and chose to become human. To experience every stage of a person’s life and the limitations. He gave up heaven, for us. He gave up power for us, He gave up His life to save us.

You are worth more than Heaven to God. That is how valuable you are. Flaws, imperfections and all, you are worth more to God than all the beauty and perfection of Heaven.  There is no way anyone could earn that kind of Love. No work of art, poetry, scientific discovery, or any other human achievement could ever be enough to earn that love from God.

He gives it to us freely. With no strings attached, or conditions. You don’t need to ‘fix’ yourself before you can accept God’s love. All you need to do is accept it.

As you celebrate the Christmas with your family and friends take time to thank God for the value He placed in you.

Read and underline  the verses on the following page in your Bible.

LOOK DEEPER

Read and underline the verses on the following page in your Bible.

John 1:14

“The word became a human being. He made his home with us. We have seen his glory.”

Romans 8:14

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

Psalm 8:3-4

“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”

PERSONAL REFLECTION

  •  How does it make you feel knowing  that God left heaven for you?

  • Were there any words that jumped out at you from the scriptures you read?

  • What would change if you fully realized how valuable you are to God?

  • Take a few moments to reflect and thank God for valuing you so much.
