I am...A World Changer (week 4)

“It is a dangerous business, going out your door. You step unto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

Serving God is an adventure that feels like the quote above. There are times God tells you exactly what He wants you to do and where, and yet others where He gives you an idea, points you in a direction and tells you to  map the way. Sometimes you get to bring others with you, and others you have to travel alone.

Whether you get to walk the path that many have walked or are a trailblazer and get to make the road, the adventure begins each time you do something to change the life of another person. Being a world changer is not always about travelling to far destinations. It is about changing the world for one person wherever and whenever you are able to.

With one sandwich.

With one pair of socks.

With one hug.

You can change the world for one person.

The more you serve, the more you love and the more potential that is unlocked.

Read and underline the verses on below in your Bible. Write any verses that jump out at you on some paper or a journal, so you don’t forget them.

Read and underline the verses on the following page in your Bible.

Matthew 10:16 (NIV)

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”

Matthew 25:37-40 (NLT)

“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

John 13:34-35 (MSG)

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”

Romans 8:31 (NLT)

What should we say then? Since God is for us, who can be against us?”
